 | Check this op-ed out about Rove!!!! His fingerprints are all over this election and will continue to be, and he will be prime strategist for McCain--for ANY Republican. He may only be a tv commentator now--humble pie--but anyone who buys that should buy the Brooklyn Bridge along with it. As long as Rove breathes, he will be the Iago to America.

I had a chevy avalanche for a couple of years. It was hands down the niceest riding vehicle I ever drove.
Wife had a Tahoe at the time....We took the avalanche every were we went together. It just rode that much better. [Link] |

 | racial profiling is still everywhere on our roads--i don't care what people say--but 95% of it is wrong...yes, i agree to 5% of it because of the muslim element now--
if she knew what she was in for, what prevented her from just going along with it and getting the heck out of there--what did her actions get her? a wound, a ticket, an arrest, and a film on youtube? how do you know she even owned the car, that she had actual papers for it? yeah, maybe i'm too just to see that--but cops are paid to be cops and when you arm a man or woman with a gun and a uniform, all you can do is trust that that person will be just in the carrying out of his/her duties. Same as in the military. Susan, I just don't think this woman accomplished anything by her recalcitrance. If it was racial profiling, he would pull her over for going 25 miles an hour, for idling!!! she is free and can drive anywhere, but to me it still looks as if she was purposely antagonizing him and that his bully side engaged...i truly feel for people hounded like this...i see no justice in it and yet police departments are slow to move past it, no matter what part of our country...it's ok if you laugh at me--we are good friends[Link] |

 | We share that fear. I have 5 kids one in the Army Special Forces. And a couple married into the military. I also have grand kids that I worry about.
I don't see this country headed in "family oriented" "civil rights" direction but rather a "them that has the gold makes the rules" direction.
I think what people fail to realize is each of the bill of rights are like idividual pillars holding up our society.
You can't weakend or remove one of those pillars without endangering the integrity of the rest and with out endangering the complete collapse of this society we take for granted.

 | that is Pakistani Intelligence- the partners to CIA. Benizir Bhutto said which member of ISI killed him (she said it on 60 Minutes). Osama was last seen at the hospital at the military base where ISI and CIA have offices in Pakistan. The Egyptian newspapers announced his death as Dec 19, 2001 and CIA said they last overheard a tel conversation from him on Dec 14.
He had always worked for the CIA (Bin LAden).[Link] |

 | Here is where I agree with you 100%. Florida is the place to watch, and after Florida, Ohio. Florida lost it for Gore and Ohio lost it for Kerry. I was for Gore but not for Kerry--but I liked Edwards. How are we to prevent this if people in office like that FL Secy of State or whatever she was countermands logic and fact and rules otherwise? Aye, that's the rub[Link] |

 | LOL you made me laugh- I wont critisize you- I never do- it just sounds like that when I type--sorry- The reason she did that is that she knows that he is white and she is black and in fact she called a relative to make sure someone knew what was going on in case they did something to her- there is not much sympathy anymore for white police... he actually had no reason to pull her over, but we are entering the time when police know they can do what they want...
You are accepting what the policeman claimed at face value- he offered no proof... .. she was afraid of him and he knew it- - I mean 2 strong men cant take care of a woman without a torture instrument?
the second video- the woman was white and she did not talk back and he put her in his car and did it to her thru the window for the pleasure of it I think...
you should watch it[Link] |

 | LWA, that is the ONLY religion that interests me--Buddhism. Maybe it's because it is NOT a religion--it's sort of a belief system. You are right--it is benign, not aggressive. It is also peaceful. I will be running a short video course on Buddhism next year for my community--we are looking forward to it. And I showed a superb film that had Buddhism, quietly, at the heart of it: THE BURMESE HARP. If you have not seen it, I encourage you to try it. It is so beautiful.[Link] |

 | well, I watched the first. prefer not to watch the second. you tell me: why did this person consistently disregard what the cop was saying? if you are pulled over for speeding, and the cop asks for license and reg, if you are a legitimate driver and have them, do you not present them right away? why did this woman keep yanking his chain and not comply? you've convinced me i could never use a taser--not to hear that kind of agony. but even without the taser, this woman was wrong. if she were speeding--51 in a 35 mile residential zone--did he not have the right to pull her over if he chose to? is that not his job? and maybe they knew something we didn't about the car...this is a very very disturbing video that just about made me upchuck lunch, but if that were me in the car, i'd have handed over the license and reg asap and gotten through with it and gone on. She purposely defied him. He's not my idea of a patient cop, but she's not my idea of a good citizen either. I know you will say that she was not speeding and that he was picking on her because she was black in a white neighborhood or something, but he still has the authority to pull people over for speeding. we pay him to do that. if he is an example of the police state, well, others will have to watch it to collude with that. now i'll go take vitamins to strengthen myself against the criticisms i will take for my comments here[Link] |

 | Volkswagen is shortly to market a diesel-electric and they are going to follow up adding plug-in capabilities the following year.
Toyota is going to alter the Prius to plug-in.
Ford has a prototype hydrogen fuel-cell that is also plug in.
The market is changing.
It won't be too long before 50 to 100 MPG is the norm and plug-ins will mean that a lot of local driving will essentially be all electric.
Equivalent electric/gas cost will be about $1/gallon.[Link] |

 | Hahaha! The manual being used to extract information was developed by studying the Chinese techniques to extract false confessions. If you really want good information then study the techniques used by Germany in WWII; they were able to extract a very large amount of information from the prisoners they held, in many cases the prisoners weren't even aware that they were giving up the information.
Torture doesn't work. [Link] |
