Bob Dole

He was senator from Kansas from the 60's untill 1996. He was Gerald Ford's running-mate in '76. But lost to Carter. He ran for president in '80 and '88 but didn't get the nomination. Ran for that office again in '96 but Lost to Bill Clinton. Also fought in world war 2 and got injuried from it.

So, now it seems that Bill Richardson has a little problem with some questionable activities concerning contributions and lucrative contracts being awarded. The scandals just keep on coming!!!

Why the Somali fishermen have become pirates. More to it than just simple desperation?

Some assert that foreign powers have been taking advantage of the Power vacuum in Somalia and abusing the Somali's sovereign waters. Random attacks on unrelated ships are of course wrong but is there more of a case for the Somali's than we thought?

Bush-Clinton Katrina Fund

This organization is run by former Presidents George Bush and Bill Clinton who recently became good friends and set up this fundraiser which all the money they recieve will help relief victoms of Hurricane Katrina.

Harry Truman

Harry Truman was a Democrat from Missouri. In 1944 he was nominated to the Democratic ticket with F.D.R. instead of incumbent Henry A. Wallace. After F.D.R. died he became the 33rd president and ran for president in 1948 and was elcted for a 2nd term over Thomas Dewey or Wallace.

He was our 10th president, a vice-president, govenor of Virginia, senator from Virginia, and a democrat who later became a whig. John Tyler became president after president Harrison died. Faced trouble with the Whig Party and later became an independent.
